MOVING ON

It been quite a while since I post something in this blog. I experienced the high's and low's of my entire college life. I'll update you next time. Right now I just want to focus all my attention to Ateneo Video Open and never think of any disturbing / pressing issues thrown to me and to my thesismates.

Madaris: a 25-minute video documentary on the State of Education in Armed-Conflict Areas in Sulu (Indanan, Patikul and Panglima Tahil) was selected as one of the finalists for the documentary category of the Ateneo Video Open 10. Madaris was the product of our almost 2 years of stressful nights, fearless days and unforgettable experiences. This thesis topic showed me the other side of life and that we can do things to help other people especially the Tausug school children in Sulu.

From the thesis proposal up to now, a lot of people still thinks differently about my group. We were talked about everytime we don't speak anything about our thesis and they ignore us everytime we gained new achievements. It was really diffucult not only for us but also for our thesis adviser.

Last night we were not that lucky to take home the best thesis award given by our college, but I know God gave us Ateneo Video Open 10 for good reasons. I am hopeful, so as my thesismates. I would like to thank everyone, especially our families, close friends and school administrators for giving us the undying support and love and to our thesis adviser, for she was the first one to believe in this thesis topic, and for her love, support, trust, undertanding, never ending wisdom and for pushing us everytime we feel hopeless. Ms. A you are our guiding light, you showed us life and we're never been the same since you first believed.

I'M NOT EXCITED!

Almost 1 and a half months before my college graduation, tomorrow I'll be facing one of the most dreadful exam in my entire college life, the General Comprehensive Exam. Other schools doesn't have this kind of examination in their curriculum for college students, but unfortunately my school does.

So what's the thing that keeps me uneasy about the exam? It's the though of not graduation if i'll fail the test and not passing because the scope of the examination is really not my forte at all. I mean i'll be having statistics, psychology, chemistry, physics, biology, algebra and everything entirely opposite of my course - Mass Communication.

I've taken these subjects during my first two years in college but punishing the students of not graduating if they fail to successfully pass the exam is superbly balderdash. Even though we had these subjects and actually taken them on, i still feel uneasy beacuase I'm not at my best to take exams right now especially if I didn't go through a refresher. If you know me personally your head will spin with the things I i've been working into for the past 2 years. Right now my knowledge about statistic is very much limited to TV ratings and SWS / Pulse Asia Surveys and not with the probability of things i need not to do but i need to remember just because of this exam. Another thing that irritates me is the fact that other courses had their reviews for the past two weeks already and we only had pre-productions and shoots for the Theses Fest and the awards night sponsored by the department.

I am really not excited of what is about to happen tom!

I need a your prayers.

Please God help me!

JUST A QUICK START.

I am just a nobody who is known to many.

The last time i checked i am known to people who are within my social reach/circle, so most definitely i can say that i am a nobody who is known to many (because i know a lot of people and they too know me). Too much "know" word. Let's just drop this one.

Social Reach.

The rationale behind this new blog of mine is to widen my social reach. I am pertaining to people whom i can communicate with and who can also respond to things that i feel strongly about not only by means of acquaintances and meetings through common friends but by technology as a tool in connecting and conversing with people beyond boundaries.

Inform. Educate. Entertain.

Just like the role of media in our society I, too, will try to do these things through my entries in this blog. I will try to inform the masses on what is happening in my country, what is happening to people who are in need or even those who just mingling around. I will try to educate my readers on the things that they may perceived differently and try to teach them things that are imprecisely shared to them and of course I'll try to entertain you on the latest happenings whether it's a concert or any stuff that are worthy to be called "entertaining".

The title wasn't that consistent with the content. It says "Quick" not "Novel-like" start.

Drop a comment and you'll very much be appreciated.
